On 17 January 2025, the third Kyrgyz-Hungarian Agricultural and Processing Industries Cooperation Forum was successfully organized by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Hungary. The event was made even more special by the fact that it took place during the working visit of Mr. Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of agriculture, processing and water management.

At the event, L.A.C. Holding Zrt. and Kyrgyz Agroholding signed a cooperation agreement to contribute to the modernization of Kyrgyzstan s agro-industrial sector through innovative technologies, Hungarian expertise and consulting services.
The role of the Kyrgyz Agroholding
The Kyrgyz Agroholding, led by the Ministry of Water Management, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, aims to implement innovative projects that will serve the modernisation of agriculture. The aim is to bring the agro-industrial sector to a new, modern level, with a special focus on solutions tailored to climatic and geographical conditions.
Role and tasks of L.A.C. Holding
L.A.C. Holding Zrt. in Hungary will focus its cooperation on:
- Providing professional advice and training to Kyrgyz partners.
- Provision of technical advice and consulting services to Kyrgyzstan.
- Mapping and development of cultivation programmes for agricultural crops with high climatic and market potential.
- Support rural farmers with quality certified seeds adapted to local needs.
- Breeding the Kyrgyz cattle population by exporting world-class genetics.
The importance of cooperation
This partnership is an exemplary initiative, which not only serves to strengthen Kyrgyz-Hungarian relations, but also contributes to increasing Kyrgyzstan s agricultural production and export capacity. The cooperation will provide Kyrgyzstan with the opportunity to increase its production efficiency through modern technologies and methods, while Hungary will be able to share innovation experiences, thus strengthening international economic cooperation.
