László Janó, who joined CER Hungary Zrt. in August 2024, is the new Commercial Director of the company.
After graduating from a vocational school for railway traffic, he started his career in the railway industry as a ticket inspector for MÁV. He has also held positions as a station and line reserve officer and as a training officer before being asked to fill the position of deputy commercial officer to the station manager. He later transferred within MÁV and continued his work as a regional sales specialist.
He holds a degree in civil engineering from Széchenyi István University, a degree in supply chain management from Corvinus University and is also qualified in international freight forwarding.
After more than ten years of freight sales activity, he was again in charge of the regional management of the practical operation of rail transport, which included the regional services of Szolnok, Kecskemét, Kiskunfélegyháza, Szeged, Kiskunhalas, Baja, Szentes, Hódmezővásárhely, Kiskőrös. His work included planning, organising and coordinating regional services and technologies, using available resources economically and efficiently. His main tasks were to ensure the safe operation and quality of service, to deal with emergency situations and to maintain professional relations with the partner service providers, railway companies, customers and stakeholders.
At CER Hungary Zrt, his responsibilities include managing the commercial team, coordinating tasks, ensuring the quality of their commercial services, identifying new and favourable opportunities, providing complex freight services and significantly increasing customer satisfaction.
